Dog Crates
Crates come in many different styles. The most common are wire and plastic. Many people crate train their puppies and then once older and more trustworthy you can begin to let them stay out of the crate at night or when you are away. Wire are more open so you can share your world with your puppy, plastic are more den like and provide a safe place for your puppy to call all his own.
Crate Mats
You can buy crate mats that come specifically to fit your crate, it’s best to use these after your puppy is potty trained so you don’t have to wash them too much.
Gate/Pen
A baby gate and a pen called an exercise pen may be useful during potty training or confinement time.
Check your local Goodwill or summer time garage sales for great selections of stuffed toys.
Plush Toys
Any plush toy that’s fun to chew, chase after, and snuggle up to is a great idea for your puppy. It’s so fun to watch them shake and flop around with these soft lightweight floppy toys. Please be careful with any stuffed toy that none of the stuffing, if exposed, is chewed or swallowed.
